toronto is still in the deep freeze. early this morning i tried to do some frozen bubbles but i couldn't make the bubbles stay long enough on the railing or in the plastic blower. perhaps because the sun was shining rather brightly. not even five minutes outside on the balcony and i was already shivering from the -22 temperature. blessedly there was no wind. then i sort of just lazed around.
for days now the morning sun would cast a deep golden hue on the walls making the apartment look like it's on fire. what do you do then? play with your shadow! and that's exactly what i did.
i did go out in the afternoon to go to the cleaners but i didn't have the inclination to get the camera out and take pics outside and where i went there was nothing of interest, not even a rusted pipe or anything. so a collage of the shadow play it is for today.
i will attempt to depict idioms and common expressions for self-portraits. today, the title says it all, doesn't it?
Beautifully graceful....so at first I thought you were against the golden-hued walls, but then what is that second shadow, seemingly behind you....more intriguing!
@henrir - i will participate with a few of the themes, the ones i thought i didn't do well last year. but i will do self-portraits portraying expressions and idioms and in the instances it feels right with the blue clock. lots of photoshopping i suppose. thank you, henri.
