Rhododendron and Snow??? by susiemc

Rhododendron and Snow???

I posted a close-up of a flower from this very early rhododendron on the 28th December thinking it would very soon be hammered by the frost but here we are 3 weeks later and it's still hanging in there, despite the snow and frost. It just doesn't seem right!!
Certainly an unusual combination, but makes a very pretty image

Waaw !! and there was me delighted with my colourless buds this morning -- I hope the frost of this last week or so will not kill these beautiful blooming buds . This looks a large naturalised plant so typical of mid / north Wales ! And super in a country garden !

@foxes37 @virtualbrownie This is a particularly early one which usually flowers in February and then usually gets hammered by the frost. All the others flower in May and June.
