Ta-Da! by taffy

Ta-Da!

I've enjoyed all the daffodil photos. Walking by the campus pavillon, I was surprised to see four large cement planters filled with daffodils in bloom, and a few buds. None were open a few days ago when I'd walked by. Still playing with diptychs (a week late). I chose the bud and the flower because (a) they were facing the same direction and (b) the leaves with the yellow shadows on the top one sort of mimic the lines of the open flower. I wanted to capture the feel of the way the blooms seemed to just pop out suddenly.
This is just beautiful. Amazing from the early stages to the opening. Fabulous....

Great diptych! The darker background in the top picture contrasts well with the bright background in the lower picture. Great focus in top picture too.

@thirtysevenways We only had spring for a few days - back to cold and rain again. But at least our spring landed on a weekend!
@jankoos thank you!
@steampowered Paul, neat idea to do something like that -- these were two different flowers, but in the planter there were ones at all different phases of bloom so it could have been done.
