I had a half hour this morning and spent it photographing in our neighbor's front garden and along the street where the trees are starting or are in full bloom. The sun was shining and all looked great. In between morning and posting, it's been nonstop and the temperature has dropped considerably. So, I'm glad to have had that chance. I liked this shot because I felt it captured both the potential to come as well as life in full bloom.
@pflaume Thanks for asking...I"m sort of sitting here feeling depressed that it's 12:35 a.m. and instead of being done as I thought I would be, I have at least another full day ahead. I was much more optimistic this morning and I thought it was kind of funny to see that reflected in the photos I had taken! But, this will pass. The proposal is due on Monday so it has to be done. And it is turning out to be a really good collaboration so that part feels good. Anyway...thanks!
The contrast between bud and bloom is great. The soft color, natural light and background make for a very artistic shot. How's the 365 diet going? I notice you are working into the wee hours.
