I turned in our proposal this morning and on the way home (because of course I took my camera along), there were so many beautiful photo ops -- tulips of all colors, flowering trees, architecture shining in the sun, themes that inspire, etc. I chose this one because it, to me, feels so upbeat and happy.
In contrast to my May 2nd one for my get pushed using negative spaces ( http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-05-02), this one was about filling the frame.
I like how you wouldn't know you are in the city. Congrats on the proposal submission - that must feel good (now I must grade, so that I feel that weight lighten a bit!) By the way - if there is a moment in time in June after @jyokota returns home and we leave for Japan, I'd love to have you both out at my place for a camera day in my gardens and to finally meet you!
Yes, very upbeat and happy feeling in this image! Such a beautiful sky and blossoms. Congrats on your proposal submission. I am sure it feels great to have it in.
@vankrey I think getting together would be great, but it will have to be in fall as we leave for Beaver Island for the summer right around Memorial weekend. Bummer! I've seen photos of your garden and it's awesome. @jyokota
@elaine55@anazad511 I hadn't thought about how my mood would be reflected, but now that several of you have noted it, it's interesting to me how dark my photos were last week and how happy and light they have been since yesterday!
Oh, I love how this photo reflects your mood, and I'm so happy for you that you got your proposal in!! I just turned in my grades and I am off from teaching for the summer--so glad I did not take another adjunct gig--needed some time to breathe!!!! Congrats to you!!!
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea Thanks Arafin -- happiness was what I hoped to convey. @timandelke Thanks -- I was going for upbeat so am glad you felt that. @lisay Thanks Lisa -- It was a great day for these light clouds! @laughinglarkphotography Thank you Quin! @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @lfrans Thanks Liane! @spair Thanks Susan! I like the idea of an organic cityscape. @kwind Thank you KW! The blossoms looked so thick and the clouds were just great today. I feel like nature helped me along with the shot! @pflaume Thanks for the kind comments. And yes, a huge load removed from my back!
Lisa, Amritra, Vanessa, Kazzy, Marloes, and Carol, Thank you so much for viewing and for your comments. I look forward to seeing what you think and really appreciate your time.
A picture of two halves, love it, the contrasts are wonderful. and it looks great enlarged. Do you mind me asking what the 'proposal' refers to, sorry fie being noisy but it has been mentioned a few times and I'm in the dark!!
@lunaksi Thank you Luna! I thought the contrasts were special as well.
@jo13 Thank you Jo! The proposal was what was making me go on a 365 diet of one hour a day until it was done. Our company had to submit it to a district we work with to be on the 'approved vendor' list -- something new they were doing. It came out of the blue, took an inordinate amount of time, but we felt we had to do it. Worst of all, it really meant I could barely photograph and post, much less view and comment (see http://365project.org/taffy/365/2013-04-29 for a description of one of the days). Anyway, it's all over with and I'm mostly back to spending more (too much?) time on the site.
@eyesmile Thanks Gena -- happiness was what I was going for.
@calm Thanks Cathy -- it was a beautiful day to be out and about with my camera in hand.
@willowdragon@steampowered@foxsparrow
Thanks Al, Paul, and Ann -- don't you wish we could just bottle up these kind of days and release them on the gray ones?
Thanks Junko and KW -- yes, it's a happy day, for sure!
@timandelke Thanks -- I was going for upbeat so am glad you felt that.
