Daniel ( @danielwsc), Annette ( @anwan), and I met at Museum Campus tonight for a walk along Lake Michigan. Boats are just starting to appear in the harbor. You can see Navy Pier in the background. It was a glorious night and hard to choose which photo to post. I decided on this one as it's different from any of the others I've posted thus far. When you drive along Lake Shore Drive, this is your view for about 33 miles.
Thank you for your views and comments! I will catch up this week.
What a beautiful capture - this looks like a lovely scene on an early summer evening. I love the reflection of the sailboat in the foreground on the water.
Ah, a lovely image! Yes, we drive to/from downtown along Lake Shore Drive on beautiful days just to see this image. I like the reflection of that front boat, and the way Navy Pier situates where you are in relation to the city.
@danielwsc I just moved the levels up to bring up the colors, then used Color Efex to add two filters: polarization and ND. I think the ND is what gave it the orange-ish tone and the retro look but am not sure. It might be the combination. I wanted it to look like it could be a scene from any time in the past 50 years.
Beautiful evening shot!Love the light and reflection!
