Not a very inspiring day of photos so I decided to try some b&w HDR shots for my tag challenge and b&w abstract building for get-pushed. I didn't like the buildings from today's shot so used this one from Monday as the base. I liked the contrast of huge conveyed by the part of the skyscraper and tiny with the plane in flight. I don't think it really works well for any of the challenges, but I wouldn't have ended up with it if I hadn't been trying to address one or both of them. Processed using a combination of Topaz adjust HDR and HDR Efex and Silver Efex.
The sky looks like sand- is that meant? Not that it matters with your composition - in fact it adds to it! So does the plane flying normally! I like your idea!
@maggiemae Thanks Maggiemae! I am not sure how the sand feeling came about. I think it might have been in the topaz adjust program -- at least I hope so, as otherwise I'm worried something is wrong with my lens!! But I'm glad you liked the effect! @pflaume Thanks Lisa. Really turned out cool! Wasn't sure from your description if the plane was in the photo originally or added as part of the processing, but the final impact is great.
