Hi! I'm Danbo! I moved from Japan to Chicago and now live with Taffy. She's introduced me to some great new friends. Here's Hippo. We hung out starting last night and by today were inseparable. When Taffy said she was going to take my portrait to introduce me to her 365 friends, I asked if Hippo could come too. I hear there are others like me out there on 365. I hope you like where you are as much as I like it here. I have a little box with holes in it that traveled with me. We don't know what that box was for. Do any of you? I did tell her to save it, just in case. I hope I get to appear in some other photos too. I had fun posing tonight!

My Danbo would like to reply: Hope and I have tried many ways to use that little box and are stumped.In fact we don't even use the round disc.you are a very handsome Danbo and are lucky you have that cool Hippo to play with. Lol.I love it Taffy!great shot.And I just got my Crystal ball today.I figure with winter coming all props are welcome!
@mzzhope OH --what fun!! I can't wait to see your crystal ball shots. We're thinking along the same lines! I remember starting in January and spending 4 months mostly wishing it weren't so cold and scrounging for things to photograph in the house. Danbo thanks you for the kind welcome. And I'm glad I'm not the only one stuck in figuring out that box!
Hello dear Danbo! I'm talking on skype to my son in Japan and have asked him if he knows you! I think you have made a very good friend with Hippo - I have a feeling he is a real hip sort of guy! Is he a pigmy hippo. They do have them in Africa!
so glad to see your Danbo! awesome shot, he's so cool and i like his friend too ! you can purchase extra revoltech joints incase some break. The box is to store the extras in. I'm looking forward to see more shots of this little guy! :)
Hi Danbo! I have always wondered where you Danbos get your name? I am glad you have Hippo to keep you company. I am also glad to see your owner plays with toys and props like me. Haha! I have Mr. Metal, Fashionista Barbie, glass elephants, Minions, and some other things "up my sleeve" for winter when the bugs are gone and the weather is bad and no sun outside.
Danbo is just so cute, so glad he has a new friend. I wish you many wonderful adventures together (and hope we get to see them). Isn't it amazing that this little cardboard figure can display and evoke emotion - never ceases to amaze me.
What a great image! I like the angle you captured Danbo because his smile is showing on the side. The DOF is perfect. I can't wait for Danbo and Hippo to come on a field trip to visit me. Maybe they need a B & B visit for a vacation? YT B&B is ready to host.
Hello Danbo! Piggy sends you greetings from the Poconos. She's not sure what your box is for, but she'd use it for treasures. Of course what pigs think are treasures, and what boxes think are treasures may differ a bit. She's also wishing she could meet Hippo as they both love playing in the water and Piggy is permanently ready to do that! Wonderful to meet you Danbo. I know you came from Japan but I was wondering exactly where. Our family (well really just me) has been wanting to adopt someone just like you to hang out with me and my camera.
