In the Lurie Gardens again, on a city walk with three fellow 365ers from Madison, Wisconsin. After tons of photos of the lakeshore, architecture in the city, the fountain, and other things, wandering through the gardens we saw several of these birds flitting around. No idea what it is, but liked the way this one was trying to stare me down.
What a pretty bird! I like how complimentary the bush is that he is sitting in. He looks pretty curious about you! Great capture! How lucky that you got to meet up with more 365-ers!
Such a great shot! I think it's a White Throated Sparrow. They have a very plaintive song and like to flock together as evening rolls around. Beautiful capture.
Love the expression and color on the face you got here! Look how much people love bird shots! :) Had a great day with you - so glad we were able to meet up!
@skipt07 Thanks so much SKip. I hoped that our 365 community would let me know what kind of bird it is. And they were behaving as Ann LeFevre @olivetreeann described -- a bunch of them darting among the dried flowers and almost hidden amongst them.
