With a break in retreat planning, we took a walk to the Art Institute on what was by far the most beautiful day we've had in as long as I can remember. I loved how the buildings were reflected in each other and the dominant blue tones from the bright blue sky. HDR processing from three photos taken with very wide angle and low POV.
ONS7 challenge for today was landscape -- this is the best I can do in an urban setting where we depend on buildings and windows instead of mountains and trees!
Waaaw !! impressive !! superb shot ,pov perspective linear shapes , light and shadows and the reflective sky colours on the upper parts of the buildings A certain fav for me Tatty
Amazingly beautiful!! I love how all the different buildings are reflected in each other! Extremely successful HDR, and the clarity is amazing!! Did you use your wide angle for this? FAV!
Awesome shot!! I tried something similar today, but it did not come out like this, Wish I had a fish eye lens, will try the GoPro tomorrow and see if that works, a fav!
Your cityscapes are spectacular you give me a whole new perspective when taking in the city landscape. The bluetones emphasize the metallic nature of the subject.

Kablamo! Love it. So question: You need to use a tripod for the merge of images correct? What is the lens? I love using my wide-angle looking upwards. Never disappoints. The precision is scary good Taffy.
@darylo Thanks Daryl!! I was using my 14-24mm 2.8 Nikon wide angle, at its widest. I was kneeling on the sidewalk across the street from this building with my camera on a small cement thing -- maybe it was a flowerpot or a barrier or something -- to keep it steady. I set it on bracketed at .7 stops and took three continuous shots, but handheld supported by the cement thing I can't remember. That helped keep my camera steady enough so there wasn't any shake -- I was lucky at that.
Big cities and tall buildings provide so many opportunities for your lens!
This is another of your great architectural shots-especially like the wide angle on this one.
@eyesmile Thanks Gena!! It made my night...just finished meetings and prep for tomorrow and am going to bed, but had to do a quick peek on 365 and an upload before calling it a day. I was so excited to see this on TT!
