We happened onto a reception in this hall, honoring the release of a new book of poetry. They even gave Junko @jyokota and me each a copy, offered food and appetizers as well, so we must have looked like we fit in (or were official photographers?). The building was quite beautiful.
Photo combines three images using Photomatix, with some tweaks using Color Efex. Lost track of what I was doing as I was processing while watching some old movies.
Very spacious architecture... really beautiful. The colors, light and lines of the windows are especially luminescent. What a great trip you had. I also enjoy your "bibloteca" tag. :)
@leonbuys83 Heehee! I do agree that it is VERY over the top! As @jyokota noted, it may even be presenting the building as more than what it was. I loved the architecture but found the great hall to be a bit drab. If it hadn't been for the reception going on, it would have been very drab, in fact. But this is what in my mind, I thought the great hall of such an incredible building 'ought' to convey!
