While back in Chicago, I'm reliving much of the Chile trip as I go through my photos. In Valley de la Luna, the sunset was quite spectacular - I liked the way this ended up as layers.
Oh, yes, the Valley of the Moon....we went for a hike there, it got dark, we got lost, we could have died there and disappeared forever, kept walking in the dark towards the lights of the road, rode in the back of a truck in the opposite direction, and finally made it back to our hostel.... I will never forget that place.....FAV!! ;-))
@panthora Having seen the terrain, your story/experience is truly terrifying! How long ago was this? I take it you were there without a guide? The area is barely set up for tourism now -- I can't imagine how frightening that would have been!
Beautiful orange layers and light! Reading the comments, I can imagine how rugged the terrain might be, although your shot makes it look ethereal. Glad I am not hiking it, though!
