Such fun catching up on viewing your photos tonight. It's been a busy week. Thanks for your visits and comments -- much appreciated.
This was taken in March when we had a little sun and the promise of spring, unlike the rain and fog and tornadoes that have characterized today. April showers...yep...
And it does, as Eric pointed out, look better on black.
NOTE: moved this to 2/7 to fill in gap in b&w February album
Great image - well spotted and well presented. Interesting how well this works, with your perspective and viewpoint from below, having absolutely no lines running parallel to the frame, yet (and perhaps for that very reason) the vertical distortion is no problem at all. I think you were actually very clever to shoot this at an angle and force all lines to be at angles as well, further emphasising the distorted reflections on the glass. Lovely image, and also one where I think you will get a wide variety of feedback on Flickr.
@ericdibosco Mmm...wasn't going to post it there but will do so. Rachel @888rachel created one like this around the same time and I noticed hers when I was catching up a few days ago. It struck me because we are half a world apart and yet, we can capture such similar images.
Super creative. Love the windows. I am with Maggiemae on this one and have no idea what Eric said above. Kind of like the FB page for my new camera. Learning but meantime foreign and over my head.
Thanks for visiting my project today. I may complain about snow but I'll take it any day to tornadoes. One friend on here lives in Northern Maine and still has 11 ft of snow in her yard. This is really a great shot.
Very cool shot. I really like the visual complexity of the warped reflections. I agree with @ericdibosco about how having none of the lines directly parallel to the frame adds to the complexity of the image and emphasizes the distortions. Nicely spotted, too.
