Filling in since I missed yesterday, falling asleep at an unusually early hour due to jetlag. This was taken in Krakow on my last day visiting Junko in Poland, in the courtyard of the royal palace that had been the seat of Polish royalty for hundreds of years, until they moved it in the early 1900s to Warsaw. The area is now a museum.
This is a beauty, Taffy. I really like your composition here. It must have been somewhat of a conflict to decide which elements of the building should be centred and aligned, because the arches, windows and stairs do not share the same symmetry, but I think you have decided well to keep the attention on the arches and balustrade. Strong leading lines used in the paving as well. Clever composition!
This is great Taffy. Thinking the same as @ericdibosco re the symmetry ... although much of that is the architect's decision, not yours! Love the way you have composed it though.
This looks so wonderful in b&w. I wonder why they didn't align the arches when they built this, so the doors are centred (ha, that is such an OCD thing to say!). Hope you are recovering well after your journey.
