Another photo from the Yourell Aeration Station in Worth, IL. It's such a beautiful park. I actually went there for a night photography, steel wool painting meetup, but in the end, have been much more engaged with the photos I took there before the meetup began.
Thanks so much for the visits, comments, and favs on the reflection shots I posted yesterday. I so appreciate your support and was thrilled to see them appear briefly on PP.
Alternate shot showing exterior of cathedral and a fun (okay, nerd fun) diptych of the man on the steps, from 2 perspectives: http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2015-04-14
@kchuk It's just east of the intersection of 116th and Harlem -- there's a parking lot entrance just south of 116th on the east side. Then, walk in and there it all is -- geese, ducks, gulls, the water, a building, the river, a tressle...lots to photograph!
Great shot and editing. I know what you mean about appearing briefly on PP page. I tend to post in the evenings and when I wake up the next morning and check I can see if a photo has been on there but I seldom see it as it has gone off before I waken!
A beautiful long exposure - I love all the swirls and creamy look of the water. I thought at first it was b& w and then noticed the thin sliver of blue sky! Another great image! Fav!
@francoise Haha! I just added 'these' to the title to make it six words...but since I took it on the 12th and posted the 14th, didn't tag it for the theme.
@taffy Good to know, although, I'd prolly take the boy along. He likes feeling like he's "the man" and protecting me! ;) Sometimes, I can get him behind the camera as well. He has a decidedly and distinctively different eye than me. We've hung a cpl of his in the house as well. Of course, there's water here. I would need to allow the requisite rock throwing as well! ;) Thanks for the additional info!
