Taken tonight at the public beach, with not a soul in sight.
It's back to Chicago tomorrow -- island time is strange. When you arrive, time seems to stop. There's no feeling of the passage of time. Then, suddenly, it's gone. It doesn't matter whether we are here for 4 days or 4 months. It's the same feeling.
Wonderful pov and comp. Great light for this shot...really give that feeling of being alone. WOuld be great to swing high and feel like you could jump into the lake!
I love this image - the calm before the mad rush of holiday makers!! Beautiful beach. I always feel time speeds up when I am on holiday!! Safe journey home.
It does look very peaceful. It's the same with the sandy beaches here. I go for the rocky ones where I don't have to brush off all the sand from everything I carry with me.
Bright and clean — that's what struck me first. Can't decide if there's a sense of peace or anticipation here. What with school about to be done for another year, maybe it's anticipation. I like the little spots of color the dome's dots provide.
Love this quiet solitude before the tourists arrive. The swings look lonely waiting for the children to arrive. Lone the shadows cast by the swing set,
Love the composition and how the sand is full of footprints that lead you to the water.
Looks like you used your wide angle, love the peacefulness that you captured Taffy. So nice that you got a chance to rest.
I can totally see this place crowded with screaming kids and vacationing families in the height of the season.....so glad you captured it devoid of all that, and in the anticipation of what is to come.
