Our last day in Skybridge and I felt like I owed it to Danbo, Little D, P3, Miss Rose, and Llama (and probably a few others who just couldn't make it) to say a fond farewell to the view and think about the good times they had here.
Of course, some of you may remember the tragedy of the two lost Danbos and Big Penguin with its broken head and the life-saving efforts of Dr. SuperGlue, and the time P3 almost ended up in a golden retriever's tummy. P3 and Little D remind me of these not-so-great adventures every once in a while.
But all in all, 8 months after the fire, we have all grown to really like it here. We're sad to be leaving but know we are lucky to (someday) move into our beautiful re-constructed home sometime in August.
Thanks to everyone for sharing this adventure with us. Once we walk out the door Friday, we will see what the next stage brings!
Good to let the gang have a final farewell and remember the happy times. Will help them settle more quickly in their new abode, where they will inevitably have more wonderful adventures. Great image.
@pixiemac I'm guessing for those who remember their awful run of luck, it's up to me to make sure that without being traumatized (my only excuse), they will all live happily on the island for the month and make it safely back home without a scratch!
This seems a fitting image on which to turn the page and move on. Thanks for sharing the trials and tribulations of the last few months and I hope that it has been both cathartic and therapeutic. Now, I can smell asventure on the air...
I have no doubt that they will have plenty of adventures on the island. They must be looking forward to investigating 'home' and the renovations that where done after the fire.
Piggy and the Critters want me to convey their best wishes on your new home and moving process! They sure would like a glimpse of that view although most of the Critters say it's not fair that Piggy has an inner tube for bouncing safety.
I will truly miss these views but the roof of the condo was supplied some nice views too and besides as they say there is no place like home (when it is finally ready).
Hope your Gang are off the Beaver Island with you too? You (and the Gang) have really shown us some beautiful views from this window. It must be a sad, but also happy time.
This is such a sweet shot!! I know you will miss this incredible view and all the photo opportunities that it provided, but it will be so nice to be back at your wonderfully renovated home! The gang and you will have a nice vacation at Beaver island, and your return home will be awesome! Hopefully, everybody will come back in one piece with no additional mishaps. Can't wait to see your new/old digs!! This will be a very nice memory, something you will always access through your photos. Bon voyage!
Exciting times ahead for you and the gang.
