Another image from The Rookery (I'll stop soon -- but it's such a great building).
Busy work day today so no new photos (shock to the system as semi-retirement has meant not being at work all day since the semester started -- I'm clearly getting used to that as today felt overwhelming!). Then within a day of leaving for our Tennessee photo meetup with @jyokoto and @darylo -- can't wait!
Remember to vote for ETSOOI-56! Voting ends tomorrow night Chicago time.
I've gotten very behind in my browsing. Looking forward to catching up on the architectural tour you and your camera are giving. This image has such an abundance of different shapes. What a treat to the eyes. As always, wonderful composition and lighting.
Fabulous staircase! Can't wait to see this! Just checking your exif and see you used an apature of F 4.5. If I used this I am sure I would have a very shallow dof and it would not all be in focus? I need to check this out.Fav for your stunning image!
fabulous two-tone look to this location; I'm with the commenters on the pull between stairs and background that you want to look at both so keep looking back and forth.
Wow love the designs and shapes, such a Beautiful staircase!
Looks like a an awesome place to visit now that I've seen them through your pictures !
Your semi retired how lucky you are I'm looking forward to retiring and counting down the months !
@radiogirl You can spend hours here photographing, using wide angle and telephoto and even macro lenses. Each time I go, there are different ways of seeing it! Thanks for the visit and comment!
Can't wait to see your photos from the Tn. You know I thought you were "Semi-retired" but never seemed to be working. I am going to three days a week next year. Can't wait.
@joansmor Thanks - I'm hoping for some good TN shots after seeing yours and what it has to offer. Your trip looked wonderful. Nice thing about my job is I can do it from almost anywhere, usually -- lots of conference calls and writing responses to students' work. Yesterday was odd as I had so many on-campus meetings.
