I've been meaning to post this for AGES. Louise @weezilou made this wonderful dessert for our meetup group last month and I tried to document it as she worked. It's hard to do justice to such a beautiful result -- enjoyed by all. Thanks Louise!
How funny to run into you here as we post simultaneously! I don't think I realized you were documenting this! You certainly made it look good! To put these together for our group was a small gesture compared to all the work Taffy, Jim, Junko and Bill did for the group for a week! If I might come back for a visit again someday, I'll volunteer to make it for you again! (Please? :)
I remember when you were shooting Louise, as she was working away. :) Such a fond memory... I could REALLY use some time off right now, so this is a nice mini-vacation. :) @Weezilou It was delicious!! :)
@taffy I LOVE that you're considering it! Just learned tonight that a neighbor who lives catty corner from us is a children's book author "of some note" in Canada... Will scope that out a bit more...
@Weezilou helloooooo what's this talk about a meet up in Lunenburg? Count me in! Now wouldn't that be wonderful! I am laughing ad this is exactly how Chicago 2016 started! @taffy Taffy just let me know ! Oh to see this collage had my mouth watering! I can let everyone know it was as delicious as it looks! I have never tasted merangues that good! Recipe please Louise! A great collage Taffy and such a lovely memory as I sat at the table watching this creation and you recording the magic! What a fabulous day that was! Fav of course!
I really like the way you have gathered these work in progress photos together and presented them so that they complement rather than compete with one another. I think that is an often neglected factor in collages. And the dessert looks delicious.
@pamknowler whoops! Yes, your sister! Thanks for clearing the confusion, Taffy @taffy! @radiogirl If it comes together, would you consider joining us? I fully expect Vikki @summerfield and Bill would as well!
@jyokota I'm sneaking up on the answer! I found myself standing behind her to buy my ticket for the music venue last night, so I introduced myself. I'm pretty sure she said her name was Catherine...soft spoken and pleasant, but seemed very reserved. The search goes on!
