Back to rock creatures. I decided to create one with a little companion, then had some fun with it in Topaz Textures and a little cleanup in Photoshop. If interested, the original shot is in my Flickr photostream: https://www.flickr.com/photos/taffyraphael/28658685622/in/photostream/
Thanks for your kind words on yesterday's sunset diptych. Much appreciated! iPhone works well unless you want to enlarge at all -- resolution only seems fit for phone or internet use.
That shot had to be yours Taffy. I wish I had your imagination and creativity. I like the photo very much indeed. To me the pair remind me of images of the Buddha talking to a seated/kneeling person. Very clever. Fav
@golftragic Thank you!!! In the end, I was pretty happy with how this turned out. Jane and Bruce had helped me edit v1 which I posted in our group on Flickr along with the original. Jane's suggestion for the moon tone really made a big difference to the scene I think.
@golftragic No kidding! I had shots I'd been so excited about and then downloaded to my computer -- major disappointment. So much noise that really, the only thing to do was create the little diptych.
Like it a lot. There is one place below and above the moon that has a line going vertically through it like the edge of something not masked out perhaps?
@taffy Absolutely no kidding. I've taken shots of some wonderful skies and interesting scenes near and far with the iPhone since that was all I had at the time. As soon as I put them on the computer they looked total rubbish > delete button. The skies are particularly poor, noisy/pixelated.
Fabulous. It reminds me of those inukdichuk (can't spell it!) things we saw when we lived in Canada. A sort of man built out of stones. I have a brooch which looks like one.
Zenfully processed! I don't have an iPhone but the ability to enlarge (or disability to enlarge I guess) is what I usually tell people who ask me whether or not they should get a point and shoot or just use their iPhone. In small format the phone cameras have come a long way but you are limited to size with them. Good shot!
