This park was across from our hotel in Hilo. Over the weekend after the photography course ended, we took advantage of finally having a day without rain and walked through the park. It's known locally as Japanese Park as it has lovely bridges, sculptures, and small structures in traditional Japanese styles. This is a "Monkey Pod" tree -- really stunning shapes to them and some are quite huge. This was actually a 'smaller' one.
the clouds would appear to be emulating the trees. What a wonderful park scene. Really alive - with the ripples on the water surface looking so - er wet? real? or something that makes me want to reach out and touch the water.
