Desert Life by taffy

Desert Life

I was so impressed with the range of cacti in Anza-Borrego State Park. Miles and miles of dry desert soil, but these hardy plants somehow grew. Processed in LR and Topaz Impression 2.
Will be posting a series from this area -- such an interesting place to visit! Many thanks for your comments and favs on my recent post of the Milky Way.

The California desert is really a fascinating place. This shows the starkness very well.

I love how much you travel Taffy, and see so many interesting things. Great shot, it amazes me how anything survives in the desert.

It reminds me of the Acaia trees in Israel. They are stuck out in the middle of such arid ground and green as any tree around here. I think I remember that their taproots can go down for a mile to find water. Must be the same with these. Good shot!
