From Freezing Cold to Wonderful Warmth

We left Chicago where the high was to be 0 (F, not C) this weekend, arriving in Cabo San Jose to 80 degrees and sunny weather (for the next 3 weeks).
Junko and Bill are to join us for a week here for a week starting Sunday -- please wish her well if you follow her at @jyokota as she was driving to pick up some visitors when a car slammed into hers, totaling the car, but leaving her without serious injuries, thank goodness. She is going to be, according to Bill, VERY VERY sore while recuperating, we hope with us!
@jyokota -- I hope this gives you some hope for a week of bliss despite the accident!

What a perfect layout to show how lovely it was to escape the cold! It's a perfect ride as well to see so much below without the intrusion of cloud cover! Wishing the four of you a Happy Holiday and "a careful hug" to our Junko @jyokota. I don't need a medical degree to know that a lawn chair in the sunshine will be the best medicine!

@jyokota have a restful holiday after a scary time. I am sure Taffy will apply the sunscreen, pour your drinks and replenish your supply of books!

Great story-telling in this collage Taffy. We're supposed to be having summer but seem to be in a pattern of two hot days then wham, bam temp drops up to 20 degrees and hovers there for the next 5 days. Shocked to hear of Junko's trauma, I'll email her.

Enjoy your vacation but I can't complain as it is to get to 57 on Cape Cod tomorrow. Some of our pipes on our 2nd floor froze during the bone chilling days but they didn't burst, thawed them out and we're good to go.

@sailingmusic Gosh -- I thought when pipes froze there was no hope. Glad it didn't work out that way for you!

Major difference from that departure picture to the arrival ones. It's 14° F here now but falling fast. Sub-zero temps, here we come. Lovely...

Great collage! Having been rear-ended back in September I understand the trauma! Hope your recovery has a little pain as possible Junko! @jyokota
