Thank you for your wonderful comments and favs for the photos yesterday. I'm glad you enjoyed the dog sitting on the wall - it was definitely a fun find. I'm not a birder but think this might be a bluebird or something like that. I went a bit overboard on the processing side, combining the bird and the tree it was on from two different shots. In the end, I think it's overdone, but it's time to close the computer and call it a night.
It probably is a bit overprocessed, but love the background and the bird. Maybe the bird could be just a bit less brighter and smaller and you might get away with it - however, it is quite gorgeous.
I love it. It makes for a beautiful image. There's something surreal about it, which probably does mean it's over processed, but I find it beautiful to look at and so artistically done. Also, given that I am incapable of doing such a combination of images, I find that very impressive too! It's a fav for me.
I agree on the overprocessing only becausr I think it's probably a beautiful shotbin its own right and in that respect takes away from its leading player. But as a piece of art, I think it's gorgeous and I'm fav-ing.
Over processed, not much. The textures and colors of the background are complemented by the bird and its striking blue wing gives this a lovely snap. Fav.
He's a fascinating little fellow, isn't he? I have no idea what he is either! Interesting blend of two images and he is so nicely sharp. Probably is a bit overprocessed but it reminds me of a book about fairy tales, an ethereal quality to it.
Yes a lot of processing- I don't think you'd actually see this bird in that kind of forest BUT I like it anyway! It is more like a piece of art than a photo. Beautiful work.
@olivetreeann Thanks, as always! Actually, the bird and tree were both shot from my friend's deck, in Atlanta. The bird was on a tree branch (their house abuts the woods) and this tree was more interesting with all its intertwined and textured branches. The bird just wouldn't land on it!
It looks quite surreal. The bird is stunning in detail and the trees are so attractive with their layers and depth and delicate patterns. I'm not convinced about the two together - unless for a story book or such like. But, incredibly well done.
@taffy Oh, I must have misread your commentary above thinking it was two shots from two different places. The processing brings the two together really well.
