I took a walk today using only my Lensbaby since the sun was shining and I finally figured out about using ISO and shutter speed to control the lighting in the shot. All has to be done on manual which is actually good practice in general as well. Between that and photographing with b&w in mind, it was a good photo challenge day.
Thanks for your supportive comments re yesterday's b&w and your favs and kind words on the wobbly base building. Much appreciated!
When I first switched to manual I was trying to adjust ISO too. @vignouse told me to put the ISO on auto. It really approved my photo taking. But now I play with ISO when I have the time and it can make a big difference, Especially in lighting extremes. Like light bouncing og snow that is every where. Your choices were excellent here because I see it was a bright day but it isn't washed out.
@jackie8 I came very close to selling it as well. It really is a specialized lens and fairly frustrating to work with. I don't think it will ever be a 'go-to' one for me, but I'm finally starting to find ways to work with it (after 3 years).
I'm not a big fan of lensbaby, but this one I like. It gives a sense of movement to this shot and I like the way it's focused on the middle ground of the shot. Glad you had a good photo walk today!
