We started our day in pouring rain and rush hour traffic leaving Chicago, arriving on Beaver Island in the midst of sunshine and bright blue skies. Sigh...so nice to be here, even for only a weekend. We'll be getting things organized for summer - fun stuff like working out landscaping work to be done. Less fun stuff like scrubbing the empty refrigerator today before we start filling it again. But always time for a walk.

Ah so lovely. I see what you mean about the brown. Scotland is still like that, but as you saw yesterday, where we are in France, everything is very so green already. Such a pretty picture of this lovely bit of island coast.

Oh oh oh, what a beautiful place! Lovely shot, adore those undulating sands and the colours are sumptuous. Next time, I'll come and carry your bags.......I don't mind scrubbing out your fridge for you!
@jyokota Lake is definitely higher, but there's better beach -- all sandy stuff with much of the rocks gone. I took this from the south end of our bay, looking north, but took the sunset from the beach in front of our house. That's why the amount of sand and beach area looks different. Basically, it all looks nicer than last year -- must have been a very windy winter, even without much storminess or snow.
Like how the grasses? Seaweed? Seems to lead the eye in in a nice curvy fashion. Glad you are getting to be in your own summer home at least. Enjoy the weekend
@jgpittenger It's been lovely to be 'home.' A shot in the arm. But I'm looking forward to seeing Junko who's back from some of her travel this month, and then @pamknowler and @rosiekind will be visiting. And we meet with our contractors on Wednesday so our condo is now feeling real too.
What a beautiful photo, Taffy. So are you getting back into your condo finally, the one with the renters that you actually own? So far behind again. More medical stuff and one more test coming this coming week. Its been crazy but so far nothing serious going on which is a relief. FAV
