@jgpittenger and I are exploring the Palouse and having a wonderful time doing so. We drove up Steptoe Butte for sunset shots, catching it in quite beautiful lighting that highlighted the rolling hills. I have no idea what created this muted palette. I liked the combination of the tones, curves, and the unexpected but dramatic turbines..
Absolutely gorgeous tones and composition. I know lots of folk don't like these wind turbines marching across the landscape but I think they can be quite stunning.
Wow what stunning colours Taffy!! I love the way the light is playing across the hillside. I'm not keen on wind turbines in general but they do add drama to your image!! Fav!
how great to get to the Palouse to shoot, one of MY favorite places. It's always changing and different times of day look so different. Such gentle tones in this shot. Did you get to see any hang-gliders! ?? I only caught them once at sunset and keep hoping to do that again because I didn't know how to shoot them years ago, so not great results. I might have been shooting with film back then. i may still not know how but would be better than then at least. Have a great trip
All those layers of differing tones and curves in the landscape are wonderful. I like the turbines too - am getting quite used to them. this is such a gorgeous scene.
