Another Africa image. I like how this turned out in b&w as the starkness seems to fit the personality of the vulture.
I've lost the past week because of exercise! I overdid it apparently in my 'trainer' session last week and ended up with severe neck pain from muscle spasms. So much for exercise being a good thing. But back to it tomorrow and hopefully all will be well as I'm starting to feel more normal again.
Still planning to stay with flash of red with b&w's this month, but haven't gotten out much to photograph so am continuing to post Africa shots.
Really like how you have detail in the darks rather than just silhouettes and this is marvelous in its simplicity and starkness. I was going to email you tonight to make sure you were ok. The neck spasms sound horrid. Hope you can avoid them as you go back to your trainer. Yikes. Glad you are better. Missed your sweet face and wonderful photos
Beautiful effect love it. I too have more aches and pains after a training session. My trainer has been on maternity leave, but she's back on Tuesday. I'm more than a little anxious!
Ouch, but you made me smile. I joined a gym last October and since then have had a calf injury, a knee injury and a back injury......I think I am getting old! Enthusiasm still high but my body is saying "what on earth do you think you're playing at??"
Maybe the vulture is waiting outside the gym for the next person who overdoes it in there.....!!! Cool shot, by the way. Love these guys.
Fabulous. Sorry to hear you have neck problems. I keep looking on eBay for a new neck but haven't seen one yet. They sell so fast and you have to be quick. Ha ha
Stunning image! My husband and I train at a place for folks over 50, which has been wonderful for us. They cater to people like us who have older bones! Hope you feel better soon.
Ah I wondered why I hadn't seen anything from you - hope the pain stays clear. This is very striking and I agree, a most appropriate treatment for the subject.
Careful with the exercise, all of which can be powerful medicine! Little by little, incremental increases in duration and intensity (not both at the same time) with rest days built in (even if only 1 day per week) and 'easier' weeks (typically one in four) in which you still exercise but take it a little more leisurely. Then for the next three weeks increase the effort each week and take the 4th more gently etc. Good luck! No charge for the advice!:-))
BTW Good shot.. the near silhouette is highly appropriate for the subject.

All the best to you and your neck.

Love this silhouetted image, especially with the profile of his head.
