I finally picked up my camera for some city shots. I found that it felt safe (for now) to walk in the city. There were very few people on a Friday afternoon and almost everyone wore a mask appropriately. Certainly a different feeling than I'e had the last four months, though!
It must be a scary thing to return to the city after the peace and seclusion of the island. Especially with cases rising. I know it is scary for me to be working again. BUt you got a wonderful capture here.
Intricate, amazingly detailed. Fav. So glad people are being responsible and pray that they continue to do so.... I love your city shots Taffy, but I’m already missing Beaver Island.
You do go from extreme to extreme ...I think I would love that. I love the quiet & countryside but also enjoy the buzz if a city! Your city scales are awesome!
Wonderful detail and texture in this shot on the River. I’ll bet being back in the city after your long sojourn in the country will be an adjustment. So nice to have the opportunity for both isn’t it.
what a contrast to Beaver island! So glad to hear you are feeling safe out and about. It is a great scene with a real sense of the compactness and density of the city with its large modern buildings. The boat travellling inwards really makes it feel that we are journeying into the scene. I thought of you returning from your island and how this was such an appropriate first shot from you back in Chicago.
