Falling behind, lacking motivation, all the feelings so many have reported. But, Junko and I continue to work through our PS lessons, and workshopping with Jane P has added some further fun. But I'm woefully behind both in posting and commenting -- apologies.
This is a lion I used to practice Subject Selection tools that focused on refinement for things like fur/hair and the like that can be hard to separate. In addition, I adjusted lighting a little as his eye was quite dark originally. I used a Daily Textures image for the background. Did some final adjustments in LR and decided it was ready to post. Two years ago, we had been home for a few days from this safari -- truly an experience of a lifetime.
Reduced greenish tint per suggestion from Jane Pittenger
Magnificent Taffy. You must be so pleased with this. It is so hard to remain motivated when we can not go out and explore but you are putting your time to really good use by following this course.
Perhaps I have chosen the wrong subjects but I haven't had a lot of luck with the subject selection tool. Seems there's not enough contrast in my photos.
Seems like a lot of us are going through a slump right now. Working through a class is a great way to get through it. This edit came out really well- beautiful shot.
