This once majestic tree sat in the middle of the fast flowing waters of Tahquamenon Lower Falls. I thought the abstract was more of a tribute than the more realistic scene of the felled tree.
In photographing so many beautiful and impressive waterfalls in a short timeframe, I think the greatest lesson for me was to spend time with the smaller scenes they create.
This is a beautiful, fascinating image. I love the colors and contrasts and sense of motion. Seems like a good idea to look for smaller scenes within the larger ones.
