The last few family members leave in the morning after a wonderful week of time together on the island. Very sad to see them all go. I've thought of them coming 'at the end of summer' ever since we began planning so it's quite bittersweet. Cranes are still around and entertaining but I'm guessing migration will be starting soon as well.
Migration is an interesting change. Some bird leave, some pass through and others stop for the winter.or so it is in Maine. Good time to be a birder. Fabulous capture.
Ooohh -- a well timed shot of the cranes! So glad you are having a nice family visit to end summer. But now you have autumn ahead, and that's nice, too!
