Madera Canyon south of Tucson is well-known for its birding. The Santa Rita Lodge has been 'hosting' birds as they migrate through for decades, with bird feeders and a safe area for them to stop by. I spent a night there for late afternoon and early morning opportunities and saw 10 birds that I'd never seen before, along with so many others. This is a Mexican Jay who was most entertaining!
What an exceptional time you're having, Taffy! This is another outstanding action photo! The "stance alone" looks like a dance move by the Hopi Indians as they tell their stories in movement and chants!
