I couldn't resist...this is Terry, who often stays during the week with our downstairs neighbors. Terry has a big dog personality and was owning the snow on his walk. His boots and sweater didn't slow him down one bit, and his huge reddish-pink tongue helped him eat snow as he walked. This is a b&w conversation, with SC for his tongue, but it doesn't look all that different than the 'full color' version did!
UPDATE: This was supposed to be the b&w conversion but I uploaded the wrong one! Darn! The conversion is a little whiter looking and the tongue contrast is sharper. But I don't want to lose all the comments. Moved to Jan 4 overflow album instead of the bw thread I had going in extras.
It doesn't look B&W to me but does look so good just like this! So you live in an apartment with people, including this lovely mutt, underneath you? Never known what its like to live like this!
What a cutie pie, and so nice to see dogs enjoying the snow! Could never get cats to do that! Glad you mentioned that it is B&W....definitely looks in color, well, of course, with a white dog on white snow! :-) Love it! @maggiemae Sorry, could not help but read the comment just prior to mine! I keep forgetting that there are people in the States that have never lived in apartment buildings! Until I moved to California I had never lived in a detached house....apartment, or vertical living is actually very efficient, and you do get to know your neighbors!
Oh what a gorgeous dog obviously enjoying the snow!! I didn't know they did boots for dogs!! Not sure Finlay would wear them although it would stop him getting ice balls on his feet which he hates!! Love his pink tongue!!
@maggiemae Eek!! I just went back in -- I uploaded the wrong one! It doesn't look much different but it has a whiter cast than this one. DARN! I can't change without losing comments now...have to break my b&w cycle now. Bummed!!
@busylady Thanks Judith (for this and other views and comments today!). I do miss having a dog terribly, but mostly I just miss Nutmeg. I think it's unlikely we'll get another dog -- thought it feels very strange to be without one, as 'dog owner' is a huge part of my identity. Since 1973, I've had three wonderful dogs over a 39 year period - not including my childhood dog of 13 years. But I don't think I can face the end-of-life challenges again. It's just too hard.
