I saw a very tired tree, with two legs and a hunched over back, with arm hanging down, weighted down by the cold, cold winter. And it's not even February yet!
For our mentor/critique group, focused on macro-nature this week. Rachel, Marnie, Ruth, and Pam -- finally have gotten out my macro and had great fun today finding something in nature in Chicago in the middle of winter!

It's taken me long enough! It was fun today poking around with only my macro with me. I'm impressed that you have all kept us going and really appreciate it. I needed something different as I was getting bored processing landscapes -- interesting that I never get bored processing architectural stuff.
Those buds hold spring-time promise, so I am not discouraged. Pretty colorful textures in the bark. I don't get bored with the architectural stuff, either. :)
I can so relate to this! I am having a bit of a giggle at your comment about the cold and it's not February yet. Here folks are talking about the heat and we still have February ahead of us!
Lovely details of the tree Taffy - he does look old and bent!! Beautiful bokeh!! You should be in your element this week now with our theme Macro - Man made!!
He surely does looks tired, down and out. I really like the way your dof has brought out the interesting textures and shapes on the centre of attention while filling the background with interesting soft blurred shapes.
