The flowers Jim brought me over a week ago ( http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-04-29) are still looking quite good. Their little stamens (I think that's what it is) are so interesting because they look like they are coated with water and end in a water drop. I've been photographing them off and on all week and figured they won't last much longer. So, tonight, I took a last photo and decided to practice with processing to turn it into an abstract. The color version of this (not posted) is bright orange, pink, red, with a little yellow. I went with this one because it highlights the curve and the glow more readily.
Great choice, because it shows off what you are trying to depict, and the sepia color gives it a classic feel of time passing. I love the giant flower shadow in the background.

Thanks Ana, Vanessa, Gena, and Jodi -- I really appreciate your positive comments (and the fav, Gena!). I liked the way it turned out but it made me a little nervous posting it.

Thanks Breigh, Gerry, Jayn, Elaine, Mike, & Corrie. Your positive comments mean a lot -- especially when trying to do something a little 'out there' for me. @darylo@kimshots@timandelke Thanks Daryl -- you really made my day - wow, what a kind comment! And Kim and Elke, thanks so much for the fav as well. I really appreciate it and it's so reinforcing.
