Yummy Dinner by taffy

Yummy Dinner

Taking a slightly different approach than originally planned for my get-pushed challenge photo today (I actually do have a shot of 'comfort food' and beers from dinner on the deck of the Shamrock restaurant tonite)...On the way home, we checked the osprey nest, as usual, and then the dead tree across the street where they sometimes hangout. I was thrilled when I saw one in the tree and pulled out my zoom to snap away. When I downloaded and cropped, I saw the poor little creature that is its dinner so processed it in as high key as possible (much easier to see viewed as large as possible). My get-pushed challenge from @julieco is to "make an image of food and if possible in hi-key." Do you think that this counts?
It counts. Great job Taffy. I haven't ever thought of high key for these instances, but it makes perfect sense. Really nice job!

It's food...and it's hi-key...why not:)

@julieco Not as conventional as the scone shot, but it was more interesting than the actual human food shot from today! What do you think?

Great capture!!

I certainly do think it counts - I am jealous that you have such magnificent birds on your doorstep - love your processing - fantastic capture

@annied I'm just appreciating them this year. I never paid that much attention before 365 -- to birds or flowers or insects!!

What a capture, amazing to capture it just eating like that and I absolutely love the high key processing

Great capture. The processing is great

Yes, this one counts, for sure! Great idea and capture!

Stunning processing!

Creative response to the challenge. Much more interesting than a photo of your dinner :-)
Well done!

great capture and processing.

cool

Definitely think it counts. The challenge didn't say it had to be YOUR food.

Fantastic processing, and very original response to the challenge. The composition is absolutely perfect! Not sure about its dinner though, lol

@taffy Hey, well done. The framing and the monochrome colouration works very well. A great response to the challenge where the idea is to create someting that you wouldn't normally choose to do!

@julieco Great!! The challenge did get me to think about food differently -- and I'd have done an additional one or two if I weren't on the road at the moment without much access to setting up food shots.

@fishy I agree!! Hamburgers versus predator eating a possum -- a no brainer which one to choose!

Nice contrasty picture with good space.

Great B/W contrast.
