A full day today with little time for photos. I'd started planning macro shots with some turkey feathers as an after dinner possibility. But then, the sun started to set and it was a wonderful one. I went from no photos to too many. The two I chose have very different 'feels' to them. This is one of those surprises -- when I shot it, I didn't realize that the thistle plant would end up looking like an alien!

@elaine55 Elaine, thanks so much for taking the time to view large! @olivetreeann That was one of my other thoughts, but I liked the title better with Alien! It was such a pleasant surprise to see it there on the download as Vanessa @ness50 noted. I wanted the thistle in the silhouette but hadn't expected it to be a little figure!
