In the same garden as my butterfly shot in the main album, I saw this brilliant flower, with bright purple flower, red leaves and stamen, hanging in clusters. It was brilliant, but hard to capture the brilliant colors and have it look real. In the end, I used Silver Efex to create the monochrome version which lets the beautiful structures come through in ways that it didn't in color.
It is beautiful and it is a work of art, truely magnificent structure that gives this a certain abstractic kind of look, and at the same time it´s like a bell. I love the glow on those upper leaves and the dof is wonderful
Beautiful, looks superb in black and white.
Are you available to partner with me in this weeks get pushed challenge? If so please let me know and I'll post a challenge as soon as possible.
@salza Hi Sally -- I'd be glad to partner with you this week, though I'm already partnered with @momsta. I looked on the list and wasn't sure who you were paired with. If you don't have someone, I'd be glad to have two partners so that you don't have to skip the week, but @northy may know of someone who is missing a partner and needs one. Let me know if you'd like to go ahead regardless or wait for @northy to let you know if there's someone who needs a partner.
I know I commented on this earlier but I can't see my comment now? To repeat myself this is a wonderful shot which really suits the B&W treatment as it brings out all the details which you don't see in a colour version! Fav!
@salza I'm glad it all worked out. My partner has had camera troubles so I think that's why the suggestion to partner with me, but she'd just worked things out and posted a challenge. Another time, I hope!

Thanks so much Kazzy, Gerry, Elaine and Hope for the faves! I really appreciate it -- especially for a b&w as I'm much less certain about quality there.
Sometimes colour hides the real beauty of shape and form
Fav :-)
