This started as part of Nicola's get-pushed challenge to me this week, to look at everyday things from an unusual angle. But, once I got into processing, I started having fun with it, so it's more an ETSOOI shot now, converting a rather bland black iron fence into something that fits EOTB (love all these acronyms that make total sense within this community! If only I could fit in DoF and POV somehow!). I thought the iron fence posts looked a bit like sentries at attention with a somewhat overdone sunset in the background. I may not have natural sunsets here like we've had on the island, but I can always create one!
@elaine55 It's actually not that old a fence -- it's the one that goes around the front of our house (2 unit condo) and is so typical of ones all over the city. If I hadn't had the get pushed challenge to photograph something common in an unusual way, I don't think I would have shot this. And I did have a great time with the processing!
