Another image from the Gary Indiana methodist church ruins. This was from an second floor area that at one time looked like it was used for receptions. A large open area with stunning open windows (now truly open -- no glass!), fireplace against one wall, and open beams here and there (that may at one point have had walls around them or may have been part of an archway or something). I liked the textures in this and the door especially, with the tags in the background (I learned today that 'tags' are people's names, while graffiti means artistic images). All part of the grit and grime of the building.
Oh wow love the tones, they look a bit surreal or HDR but absolutely love them and the compisition. Also the history of the place makes it very intriguing, yeah I love this so fav!
A very different feel than the wide angle version. I feel like this one is out of focus somewhat, but I can't tell if that is an after-effect of the processing.
@archaeofrog I think what you're picking up on is I used a soft diffusion filter in Color Efex. I thought it needed something like that, given how many harsh details I'm trying to bring out in the other shots -- the one I posted with this one, and the one I'm posting tonite.
