The Life of a Theater Critic by taffy

The Life of a Theater Critic

My get pushed partner this week, Nancy, @nanderson, challenged me to the following: "Besides photography...if there was anything u would have liked to do in your life but it just wasn't the right time...depict what that would be...e.g., movie star..astronaut... And show why u in particular would have liked to do or be this..." Taking photography out of the picture at first made it hard, until I started thinking of what I might have liked to do instead of going into literacy education. Food critic! Writer! Movie critic! Travel specialist! But being in NYC gave me the chance to think about life as a theater critic -- seeing plays, interviewing participants, reviewing, writing, publishing in magazines, newspapers, blogs, etc. Junko and I scouted locations that would work to illustrate this. My choice of this image was because of the golden feel and the multiple shows.
@nanderson Hope this fits the challenge -- it was fun thinking about other life paths this week!

Great depiction for your challenge (and a great challenge it was). I have not been to New York but I know I would love to experience the shows. This picture really shows off the opportunities available.

@kazlamont @kimshots Thanks Kazzy and Kim. It was a fun challenge trying to first figure out what area to depict and then how to do it. I suspect being in the middle of Times Square influenced my final decision.

A new Woody Allen musical .. I'll watch out for it should it cross the big pond.
