My get pushed partner, Kirsten Johnson, challenged me to photograph a spontaneous moment. I had a brief respite during our meetings in Wisconsin to take photos but have not had much time to look at them, much less process. This one is from the same drive as the lone tree -- I stopped at Big Foot State Park. My luck was in having this kid in a red shirt roll up on his skate board, pull out a fishing pole, and start fishing. I hope this works for a spontaneous moment, Kirsten! It was fun to figure out how to do something with so many constraints -- a challenge and a very good one for me this week!
It is absolutely a perfect depiction of spontaneity! He almost looks like he literally stepped off his skateboard for this photo, balancing on one foot as if he's still in motion!
One of the best things about 365 is how diverse our lives are! I'm fascinated that following a meeting you should be so close to a river!! Great shot. love the red!
