For fun...shot taken along Lake Michigan's walking path in Chicago. Processed extensively with Aperture, Color Efex, Topaz Adjust. No clue how I got to this final image.
It is amazing what one can do when processing a photo. I wish I understood a portion of what you do to get a photo like this. Love the colors that make this such a unique and beautiful photo, Taffy. FAV
An image that has a lot of impact. I find it so frustrating when I produce a look I like but have failed to remember all the steps, so cannot reproduce it.
@bob65 That happens to me more than not, though! I get carried away trying this and that, and by the end, I've used 3 software programs and so many steps, and not saved any of them along the way. Thanks for your visits and kind comments, Bob.
Great picture with so many elements making it so. I would love to stand over your shoulder when you are processing. I'm still such a beginner with it all!
@khrunner I didn't know any of this when I started 365 last year -- it's really a matter of uploading a program and figuring it out, one at a time. I don't use any of the fancier software processing like PS or Gimp yet, but want to learn. I've found the Nik Suite plug-ins to be some of the best -- especially silver efex. And I like Photomatix for HDR. Both are fairly straightforward to learn.
@taffy Thanks for the encouragement. We have Lightroom, Photomatix for HDR and PhotoFXlab. Trying to not get too lost in them. Some efforts are better than others.
