P3 here, checking in for the theme this week of summertime. Little D and I were able to spend a long summery weekend on Beaver Island, courtesy of Taffy and Jim (well, Jim didn't know we'd come along until we were leaving). This was our last morning so we hung out down on the beach for a last bit of sun and lake time. Look at those mosquitoes near us!! They are gigantic, and those we won't miss.
BIG NEWS...as we left our house to go catch the plane, just a little ways down on the dirt road, we saw THE FAWN!! The one that had lain down in the driveway is safe and more energetic -- she and her mom watched us for a few seconds, and then the two of them hopped away into the woods. We were so happy to see them!
And from Taffy, thanks for the wonderful comments and favs on her most recent posting of (yet another) sunset. She was very appreciative of the kind things you've said.
Oh look at these two nicely focused in their big wide world! Jim would have been so surprised to see them? aha! Those mosquitos are deadly - you would have to have screens over doors and windows!
Wonderful colours! Huge mozzies! Oh dear they would be biting me -,I seem to attract them! So lovely for you P3 that you both had a great weekend on Beaver Island! Good news too about the fawn! Fav for this fab shot!
Oh, those guys are so cute, but unfortunately those ginormous mosquitoes look like they could suck the blood out of them (that is, if they had any blood!!)....great summer shot! Oh, and I hear that eating garlic keeps the mosquitoes from attacking you....;-))
Sounds like you had a good week end and will have many more when you're on the island for the duration. Yuck on the mosquitoes for sure!! Avon Skin So Soft is the only thing that really works on me. And glad to hear the little fawn is doing well! Great shot you two!
