We are in the final bits of finishing up reconstructing our condo after the fire -- what a year -- and are quite happy with how it's shaping up. We still are planning to list it and move to a single floor type of condo instead. No rush as we are enjoying what we designed, but someone we are working with suggested starting to take photos to do a sales brochure so I thought I'd practice today.
@rosiekerr My stepson was a cabinet maker in an earlier phase of his career was the one who designed and constructed the built-in with two pullouts for our wine -- we love it! Thanks for noticing that one in particular!
Congratulations on creating such a fabulous home -- I love the style ,the calm neutral colour scheme with a pop of colour , and the spaciousness , A wonderful collage Taffy
@quietpurplehaze Haha!! We love it -- there are actually two of them in the built in so very handy for reds and whites! My stepson was a cabinet maker in an earlier life and he designed this for us. Thanks for noticing!
@beryl Thanks Beryl -- that's the look we were going for, so I appreciate your comment. Even when we move, we'll hopefully be able to recreate this but on a single level.
Oh this looks wonderful Taffy!! You must be so pleased with it!! I love the wine racks - clever stepson!! This will look fabulous in a brochure with your photos to show it at its best. Good luck when you come to sell and I hope you find something equally wonderful - on one level!! FAv!
What a great feeling it must be to be almost home again after such a traumatic time. Your condo is beautiful, with lovely furnishings and a great colour scheme.
It's been a long wait, but the result looks fabulous Taffy. I'd find it hard to move from there, but you're right about the single story. I'm finding the few steps up to our front and back doors a pita nowadays.
Wow, loving how your space turned out!! The neutrals with the splash of color are fabulous. I would just love to see each space individually....you have done such a great job with it! Do you have paintings, or even better prints of your photos designated to go in that hallway on the upper left? Will you be moving to a highrise?!
@panthora I don't think I ever responded to your question -- sorry! I've uploaded individual versions (and more) to a Flickr album. Here's the link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/taffyraphael/albums/72157659120547478
For now, no plans to put up any more art (including any of my photos) as we are planning to put it on the market and move to a single level condo. In THAT setting, yes definitely -- I'm ready to make some choices and hang some of my own work -- kind of excited to do it actually, but not sure which ones to consider.
