Our mentor group is considering focusing on color over the next week or two. While we haven't decided for sure, it was on my mind (as in "what will I ever do with the idea of color) when I noticed the sun at a perfect angle shining on the field across the street. These are markings in the artificial turf, for the various team sports that are played there across seasons.

I know we haven't decided for sure, but you were on my mind when I decided I needed to leave my computer and head outside to take some photos while the light was so good. I only got as far as across the street when I noticed all the color. The park has been renovated for at least 4 years and I'd NEVER really noticed how cool the color and shapes were til we had the email exchange on our theme possibilities. Even if we don't go with color, this was a great boost.
I'm thinking mor dern carpets! There is lots of color out there just check out a home improvement store or house wears department bedding drapes even sheer curtains.
Isn't it strange how you talk about something new and suddenly you see or hear it! There is a law/theory about this but can't remember the name! I love that all these wonderful shapes and colours have been right outside your door and you haven't noticed them before. Great way to start our new theme of colour off. Lovely abstract collage! Fav!
Love the way you've put this together - the idea of "color" is the first thing that comes to your mind. The longer you look at this abstract, the more fascinating it becomes.
@pamknowler law of Attraction perhaps? What we are thinking about draws things to us. A really clever and creative idea to take the bits and pieces of the turf markings and collage them together
Oh, well spotted Taffy, a terrific idea for the exercise. The colours here are vibrant, varied and almost mysterious (if one hadn't been told what they were). I too was was scratching my head about what to do, then remembered taking a shot of some coloured vertical louvres at the local AFL ground. I'll post the original in my alternative album.
Very creative, love how you have put them all together. It reminds me of a board game our girls had when they were little. Each person was given a series of tiles and you had to put them together to make a continuous road across a board.
