I hope everyone in the US (and Americans in other spots) had a great Thanksgiving! PS -- no need to comment. This is a document-the-day-shot.
We had what we all described to be 'perfect' - very relaxing day, all four of us (Bill, Junko, Jim, me) hanging out. Bill makes the best carrot cake I've ever had and had walked me through it by phone once when I tried making it for Jim's birthday when we were on Beaver Island. But it wasn't quite the same. So for T'giving, I had my own personal tutor. Here's the result - it tasted dreamy! (I forgot to photograph when we were gathering ingredients and mixing, unfortunately).
And it was perfectly delicious, too! I just noticed the different textures in my birthday version. Oh, and we forgot to get the carrot-cake defending ninja out so this cake will be gone sooner! http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2016-10-10
I love your collage, Taffy. Looks so delicious. We had Costco desserts, pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake and overall way too much food. Hope you had a great day. So much to be thankful for.
