Zebra (not Cycad) Blue Butterfly by terryliv

Zebra (not Cycad) Blue Butterfly

Otherwise known as a Bloody Cycad Moth.
There were a number of these little shits flying around the flowers of a particular plant over at the Mt Cootha Gardens this afternoon. If I had known at the time that they were Cycad Moths, I would have despatched as many as possible to that great cycad garden in the sky.
He does look quite beguiling here don't you think?

Originally posted as a Cycad Blue Butterfly but thanks to Sally, you can now disregard my rantings above. It is a Zebra Blue Butterfly. I feel so much better now.
What a beauty.
