Piha Black Sand Beach

Piha Black Sand Beach is on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island, about 40kms west of Auckland.

I guess the big advantage of a black sand beach is that you don't need sunnies on the rare occasion that the sun comes out.

Taken during a 3 week visit to the North Island in Oct-Nov 2019, just before the proverbial shit hit the fan.
